Downtown Santaland Parade Committee member Pat Squires presents Laura Wier, owner of Rock Starz in Garden City, with a plaque recognizing their $2,000 contribution to the 2010 parade. Rock Starz will once again contribute $2,000 to the 2011 parade. Rock Starz joins Garden City Hospital as sponsors who have contributed $1,000 or more. The great new hoodies for the 51st Annual Downtown Garden City are on sale now! The 2011 edition of the hoodies are designed and donated by Inkorporate Marketing located on Middlebelt Road just north of Warren. The hoodies will be only $20 and can be purchased at the Garden City Downtown Development Authority office on Ford Road just east of Middlenbelt. Sizes are available from small to triple x. The DDA is open Monday through Friday from 10am-3pm.

The 51st Annual Downtown Garden City Santaland Parade was a huge hit with a giant crowd and temperatures in the 50s as Santa was welcomed to Garden City. Thanks to everyone for coming out and a special thanks to the sponsors and to the volunteers who helped put the parade on. We are looking for photos of the parade to use on the website.
